Ya as a rule of thumb you never want to run a nitro can on the AM frequency. Just think about listing to the radio. FM signal is cleaner and the AM signal is kinda scratch. The Nitro vibration intensifies the interference. Like the guy before me suggested you should get a newer radio. This will correct a bunch of issues you are having,

i have a older nitro car and when it run it control itself could my remote be old its a 2ch radio RC SPORT 2-PY AM2-CHANNEL RADIO. COULD I NEED A NEW RADIO.
